Dr. Yaowei Li, Associate Professor. She received her PhD degree in Environmental Engineering from South China University of Technology in 2005 and then worked as Assistant Professor in the School of Chemistry and Environment, South China Normal University, and as a Visiting Scholar in the College of Mines and Earth Sciences, University of Utah, USA (2014-2015). Her research areas include environmental functional materials, environmental pollution remediation technology, waste resources comprehensive utilization. She is the principal investigator (PI) or key participant of six research grants, such as National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Guangdong Natural Science Foundation, Guangzhou Municipal Science and Technology Foundation, etc. She has published more than 20 papers in various international journals and obtained 3 authorized invention patents. She was awarded the Teaching Excellence Award of South China Normal University (2010-2011).
